1. Firearms: on several occasions Verona Beach has attempted or considered complete
anti- armament legislation. But as a municipality, Verona Beach has to abide by the Uniform
Justice Code of 1999 which allows concealed carry of handguns to people owning carry permits.
Current legislation allows for the carrying of handguns up to and including 10mm in an open
or concealed manner. Rifles and larger caliber weapons are expressely forbidden except in
citizen's owned residences, but not on rental properties nor in stores. Store owners are given
the right to enforce mandatory disarmament in their properties.
2. Body Armor: Heavy body armor and combat armor (SP:15+) are illegal inside Verona
Walls. The primary motivation for these laws is to keep civilian body armor well under the
level of the police firearms. Additional motivation is to keep Verona a viable tourist community
(which is still failing).
