- December 2000
- BlackHammer Project - For the last update of 2000, we've rebuilt the basic site into a CyberPunk 2020 Portal for 2001. We've added web-based email (you get the address name@BLACKHAMMER.post9.com, so to hell with HotMail), new expanded search functions inside and outside the site, updated links, and a whole new browsing environment. We've also stripped the frames from the basic site, but you can always get them back by clicking on the "Engage Navigation Frames" link on the front page. For the rest of the month we'll be updating the rest of the site to the new look, and will also slip in some new content along the way. Stay Tuned! If you have any comments on our new look, please feel free to email me.
- (Dec 13th) - My poll crashed so I've started one with another (less flakey) provider. The new format now reached the upper and lower frames and a few of the sub-pages...
- November 2000
- BlackHammer Project - It's submission month! We've got a thumbnail gallery of NeoNerd's Art. TraumaTek brings us Convenience Arms Polymer One-Shots for the style-conscious. Ben Mercer gave us stats for the Militech Slammer .50AE on the HandGuns page. Technomancy Designs has a new product, the Delta10 Security Shotgun. Behind the scenes we cleaned up the code on the Rifles page as well as a major update to the Credits page and to the Legal Notice.
- October 2000
- BlackHammer Project - New personal protection cyberware, DermalMesh, the Cybernetic replacement for skinweave! Plus a bunch of information and options for Shuriken, the shining stars of cyberpunk. Included links to Night Flyer's javaScript calculators for the FID Gun Creation System in the appropriate articles. Updated the look and graphics of the SMGs and Rifles pages finally to be in line with the handguns page, and I've got a brutal new flechette rifle for you as well as two new rifles and four more SMGs (two from the Spanish "Violence & Funky" website). I've taken the liberty of reprinting Morninman's most famous and translated article of all time now that his site is off-line, it's at the bottom of the CYBER page, and it's the full text of his Bioware article.
- September 2000
- BlackHammer Project - 197,000 Hits to the top frame as of this month (and that doesn't count you ladies and gentlemen who use the noframes version)! Some more guns from the Living Steel RPG added to the Living Steel Firearms article from last month (along with a new header graphic, and the ranges on the Flechette guns has been changed). Added some quotes to the left side of the GUNS page. To increase it's visibility I've moved the The Morgue to the top of the BodyBank / NPC page (and we're up to 36 poor deceased characters in the Morgue now - to be remembered by all). New to the JackAttack page is an article by the Stranger on Environmental Maladies caused by our high-pollution environment. I've added links to Polish Translations of my Head's Up!, Human Body SP Ratings and Wound Effects articles as well as a link to the Spanish translation of my Firearms Possession Laws article. Since my old polling site no longer works, I've replaced the monthly poll on the front page with a new animated graphic until I get some new polls set up.
- August 2000
- BlackHammer Project - First of all I've got new 2D10 hit location table (for those of you avoiding the Fuzion-style tables) sent here from Texas. From Leading Edge Games' Living Steel, we bring you a selection of personal Living Steel Firearms (4 guns for now, more pending).
- June 2000
- You may or may not have noticed, but some time in May we moved to another server once again because of routine service outages in April and early May. Service should be significantly better as well as faster on our new servers. Thanks for your patience through our hard times.
- "CyberPunk: The Dark Future" is doing well. We've looked at and then rejected several combat systems, and have character creation almost completed as well as the skill use system. This is no longer a variant on any other RPG, but a whole new project that we're getting pretty excited about. The first PDF files for the game should be up by the end of the month. We're also working on a new name for it that doesn't include "CyberPunk" - but that's not really important until the project is nearly done and ready to print.
- BlackHammer Project We've re-built the frame-work again to make it slightly less graphical (and so it's easier to add new "prime" level pages to the site). Speaking of "prime" pages, we've taken the Characters section off the JackAttack page and made it into the NPCs page linked to from the bottom frame. I've also seperated the CyberWare section from the SHOP page. We've got a new Techie on the NPCs page called Oakley, and some newly submitted CP2020 Jokes have been added to CyberHumour 2021 courtesy of our Ukrainian connection, Vlad! A new addition to our music articles, we have Rap Music 2020 from Chase.
- May 2000
- I've been working on a full set of rules for "CyberPunk : The Dark Future", a cyberpunk game using a variant of the White Wolf StoryTelling system... basics should come on-line in the next few months so stay tuned. People wanting to contribute to the effort can Mail Me.
- Well, it's finally here... the Dread Gazebo. Come on in and check out the new Dark Future RPG section by following this banner:
- BlackHammer Project Hot new chips for the not-quite Martial Artist, Kumite Martial Arts Chips. Updated the links again. From Rich we have Shapechangers cyberware / bioware packages, rules and ideas for Gun Locks and Metal Storm Obscene ROF Weapons.
- April 2000
- This month went by way too fast - been working on our new gaming domain - www.DREADGAZEBO.com - for most of it, and am prepping all my other sites (other than this one) for the move over there in the next month or so.
- BlackHammer Project This month we are proud to present Monolyth's latest, HiRise2020 on running a top-end CP2020 campaign. Rules and Ideas from UPCC and I on Reloading in combat. Some Cool MonoWire Toys for those of us who can't get enough BuckminsterFullerene. Look out! There's a conspiracy afoot! Can't get enough fashion in your games? Here's the Function behind the Fashion. Updated some URLs on the Links Page again.
- March 2000
- Time for a makeover choombah! After ayear with the Neurochrome banner at the top of the page We've moved on to a new navigation menu once again (probably a yearly event here at the Project). We're just "tidying up" the site a bit to get it ready for the big move.
- BlackHammer Project - You've probably noticed the new version of the Front Page and Navigation Bar that I threw together one morning. Of course with a new Nav-Bar, I had to update my Old Nav-Bars page. And I remembered to actually UPDATE the noframes edition of the site this time (the articles links as well as the look). After a few requests, I've included a copy of the Armour Location Chart that we used on our record sheets, but in a format that you can easily download and add to your own sheets if you use either the Fuzion hit locations or our own hit location system. There's some interesting Character Generation rules using a point system from Wim van Gruisen, as well as a well thought-out system for a more gradual task resolution method. After some chatter on the CPML, I have finalized my version of the famous RIFTS OCC, The Juicer. From the Chatsubo, I've snipped Walrus Slayer's Opus. Updated the Links Page again. To round out the weapons selection I've got an updated version of the classic DartGuns article (originally by Russell, the munchkin from York) from Paul Tobia's archive. And if you want to load it up with nastiness, we have our custom Chemical Warfare listings.
- CSWAT:2020 - From Bryce we have standard-issue CSWAT Gear for all SPAR team members and Descriptions of most major CSWAT gear. We've also started a newsclipping service where we keep tabs on CyberPsycho and CSWAT news from the major screamsheets.
- February 2000
- So, we've moved over to our new server at BlaBla. Some time in the next four months we should be moving the whole site over to a new domain, dedicated to my many RPG sites, at www.BLACKHAMMERPROJECT.com, but that's still a ways off.
- BlackHammer Project - Our second Corporate Fichier, this time detailing Technomancy Designs, manufacturers of the MonoSpider remote assassination unit and the Eagle IV SubGun. From M0noLyTh@aol.com we have a 3,700 word essay on running and playing CyberPunk. After reading the Downtime article last month, Chopper mailed me A Bunch More! Our crazy Cannuck, Ray, has sent along rules for Reflective Armor while we were hashing out rules for our April "Zombie Time" article. I've also started my "Literary Tech" article, where I'll be storing any cool tech-stuff I convert from CyberPunk-ish novels I read. Something you may not notice about this month is the MASSIVE amount of work Denise put into re-organizing the site. She swapped stuff around between directories and seperated my HTML files from my graphics and .... WOW. But, she also missed a couple of graphics, so if you notice anything missing, email us!
- January 2000
- Well, if you are reading this, uploaded shortly after midnight Jan 1, 2000, then the whole Y2K bug was way overblown, eh?
- BlackHammer Project - Check out our new and improved CheapAss CyberWare Deluxe. I've reformatted the No Frames version of the site to use the new SiteMap as its basis since I now have a description of each article on the sitemap. The other day two players had their characters killed off by federal agents, for the next game we had to do a fresh lifepath for one player who doesn't have the rulebooks, so I got the chance to type it up, and I post it here as an example of how I like to read a lifepath. The Treasurer Datawatch... seems every second PC has one. Might have something to do with it being the only watch in the CP2020 world, until Giovanni's Watch Shop openned it's doors. The Flipper Is Dead material just doesn't seem to stop, this month we have the informative "Who Is" of the august ThinkTank, as well as rules for Tasers and Rifle Grenades. A couple of months ago I bought the Delta Force RPG from Task Force Games, and have converted their Suppression Fire Rules to my CP2020 games. To the DRUGS page I've added the first part of a flavour article introducing your players and their characters to the Drug Scene. Speaking of Flavour, how about some things to do during downtime? I also finally updated the Coming Attractions page and added some extra (real) copyright notices to the Legal Notice.
