Sunglasses @ Night?

He wears his sunglasses at night...
They're dark enough to make it harder to see, but not dark enough to protect against flash-bangs. They really serve no purpose other than style, eh chombah? He doesn't think so. Sure a good pair of shades will give you +1 or +2 wardrobe and style (but only if you shell out the good euro - 200 to 700% of the normal cost for your eyewear), but most 'punks are just slapping on a pair of el-cheapo "BLAST"brand mirrorshades (7eb, found wherever cheap plastic is extruded). So what's the point?
These same ideas apply to other media. Optishields and MonoOptics are considered to be sunglasses for these rules, as are CyberOptics with BackLighting, Mirror Finishes or just about anything else that makes them look totally unnatural. |
Wearing shades reduces "Intimidate" and FaceDown rolls against the wearer (see WildSide) by 1 point. In addition, the wearer's Intimidate is given a +1 bonus if it's below level 5, and a -1 penalty if it's above level 5. Normal shades give a -1 Awareness in environs where there is less than normal daylight, with darker shades providing greater penalties.

How can she walk in those?
High Heels. They look sexy as all hell, but how on earth do people propel themselves from high-society events to raging gun-battle on these pointed, awkward things? Once again, a major part of heels is fashion. The fashion industry loves heels, so a lot of the best fashion includes heels for that +1 or more to Wardrobe and Style. But there is more to heels than that! Heels "perk up" the step and posterior of the person wearing them, generally making them more attractive to on-lookers. They also tend to get in the way of any real acrobatics, or even running at a decent clip. |
Wearing heels increases the Wardobe and Style of the wearer by one point immediately, in addition to any fashion modifiers. They also confer a -2 to athletics and restrict running speeds to MAx2 instead of MAx3. More extreme heels (like those shown above) will prevent running completely, as well as reducing athletics another point.
